RODNEY
HELAL
Rodney Helal at SlimeCon 2002
Since
the inception of YCDTOTV.com, Rodney Helal has been an active
part of helping the growth of the site. To say the least,
he's been a huge help with every aspect, providing everything
from pictures to helping reunite former cast members together.
Rodney's
acting days started early, as he was a cast member of 1979's
Whatever Turns
You On, as well as the 1979 and 1981 seasons
of YCDTOTV. Following his run on YCDTOTV, Rodney also had
a part in the 1983 hour-long pilot of UFO Kidnapped,
starring as a Horned Boy.
Rodney
has this to say about his experience in 2000:
"I
was actually one of the first cast members, and was a regular
on the first season of YCDTOTV. I also did Whatever
Turns You On - although it was short-lived.
I had the chance to stay at Ruth Buzzi's house in California
with Kevin Schenk during Christmas week of 1979 (a great
experience since I was 11 at the time!). Besides that, I've
kept acting as a sideline. In 1992, I did an episode of
Rescue 911 playing a terrorist/kidnapper.
I've also done some commercials and industrial videos."
Rodney
now works for IBM as an Account Executive for the Rational
Software Brand.
Rodney
was also one of the attendees at SlimeCon 2002 in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada.
