Pre-empted
Show: None
The
main plot for this episode is unknown, but it featured
a Panasonic radio as a prize for one of the phone-in
competitions, as most of the episodes from this 1979
season. This episode also featured a segment on baton
twirling. The episode contains the well-known scene
where Ross (before a major costume revamp) teaches
Jono Gebert how to do a weather forecast on an actual
CJOH news/weather set.

DID
YOU NOTICE?
- Only
one scene (the "Weather" scene) from this
episode still exists. The info for this episode
comes from either that two minutes of footage, or
info given on other episodes about this episode.
- This
was one of the few episodes before Les dyed his
hair black.
- The
infamous "Weather" scene was later re-used
in the Whatever Turns You On
pilot, as well as in the 1987 and 1989 home videos
(all three times had a laugh track added).
- This
episode was delayed one week because the link set
wasn't ready. This explains why many sources list
the air date for this episode as being January 27,
because that was the original, planned air date
before it was delayed.
- Originally,
the episode was to open with a shot of the CJOH
logo, with Les saying "You Can't Do that on
Television", followed by the sound of him belching.
At the very last second, this insert was decided
not to be used.
