EPISODE 032 - RIP-OFFS

Pre-empted Show: The Price Is Right Raise Their Prices

Being ripped off hits home when everything starts to go wrong with the show's props and sets. Christine's mic stops working, she's almost hit in the head with a piece of the link set, the risers fall from beneath her feet, and the credits starting to roll at the beginning of the show are just a few of the things that go wrong. It all ends with the whole studio collapsing all around Moose as she tries to do the outro to the show.

Production: End Of Warranty

DID YOU NOTICE?

  • This episode had the most massive sliming of the entire series. The entire bucket was dumped on Lisa at once. The screen went green for a split second and Lisa gasped in surprise, "Whoa!" This scene was cut when Nickelodeon edited the episodes from 28 minutes to 24-25 minutes in 1983, but the scene was used in television commercials for 1989's The Worst of YCDTOTV home video and was included in the slime montage on the video.
  • In the next to last scene, Lance drops his cereal bowl and it starts spinning on the ground. Les and Abby are the consummate professionals and let the scene play out. Lisa, however, starts to crack up laughing as the bowl comes to a loud halt.
