Pre-empted Show: The Waltons Move To Mount St. Helens

The gang looks at the world of camping and the great outdoors, especially Kevin, when he's all ready to go camping on his own. But the question is, does he really have the skills to go into the woods? Come on, he didn't even think of bringing a pack of cards, the most important thing! Kevin and Christine discover that no matter if you're indoors or outside, you'll get slimed, as long as your actually on the show.

• Studio masters and home video recordings are both in existence.
• Nickelodeon edited the final seconds of the "Mandatory Can of Beans" sketch in the kitchen with Lance and Alasdair. In the final seconds, Lance breaks wind and a sound effect is heard. Ironically, the later seasons toward the end of the series contained a number of fart jokes here and there.
• Lisa accidently bumps her locker door on Alasdair's head during the locker joke segment. He wasn't hit hard, but you can hear Lisa saying, "Oh, sorry Alasdair," and laughs a little before she delivers her lines.

Kevin: A pack of cards? What would I need a pack of cards for?
Christine: Ok, say you get lost. All you need to do is take out the cards, start playing solitare, and pretty soon some idiot's going to stand and look over your shoulder and tell you which cards to play.

Alasdair: Dad, why do all campers bring beans on camping trips?
Lance: Well, you see Alasdair. The great outdoors is the only safe place to eat 'em.

Lisa: Christine, I couldn't help but think of you the whole time I was at the Grand Canyon.
Christine: Oh, really? How nice. What made you think of me?
Lisa: Well, you and the Grand Canyon are very much alike ... shallow, dirty, and very wide at the bottom. (Stomps feet and laughs)
