EPISODE 048 - COOKING

Pre-empted Show: The Pillsbury Doughboy Serves Six

Warning: If Christine and Lisa offer you a pie they made (or anything else), run for your life! They're terrible cooks, but Christine is more ambitious and attempts to try more than Lisa does (at least we're down to one!). Ross tests their pies to see who's is better. Of course, he spits both of their pies back out. At least Corey liked them ... to introduce the opposites. Christine's second try was cupcakes, but when Corey tries one, he loses a few of his teeth and Alasdair uses them as bricks to finish building a wall. Then, she decides to try something easier: Tea. But when she reads "water" from the recipe book, she's drenched. Nothing ever works right for Moose.

Production: Warmer Brothers Cuisinarts

DID YOU NOTICE?

  • Studio masters and home video recordings are both in existence.
  • Vanessa Lindores is credited for this episode, but she only appears during the locker jokes. Also, someone leaves their shoes on the floor in front of the lockers during the whole segement.
  • Lisa is one of the very few cast members to be slimed at the dinner table. She reads her alphabet soup letters, which read "I don't know."
  • In this episode, Lisa is slimed sitting in a dining room chair. When members of The Slime Society visited CJOH in May 2001, the chair was amongst other furniture in a storage room. The chair still had green slime encrusted on it nearly twenty years later.

CLASSIC QUOTES

(Alasdair rings doorbell)
Christine: What are you doing here? I thought I told you to come after dinner.
Alasdair: Well, that's what I'm after... dinner. So, where are the plates?

Christine: Tell me Ross, how did you make all your money?
Ross: Restaurants. I always have inredible luck when I go to a restaurant. I'm always finding money stuck underneath the plates.
Christine: ROSS! Those are tips that people leave for the waiter and the waitress!
Ross: Shhhh!

(Alasdair finds a sock in his soup at Barth's)
Barth: HEY! That's my sock! I've been looking for it for a week.
Alasdair: Oh no you don't. I paid for this soup. (*Rinses* the soup out of sock into bowl). Trying to rip me off, eh?
