I think they answer that somewhat in the FAQs. Also, there are recipies for the slime here too. Make a batch up, dump it on yourself and tell us what it feels like

I used flour, food coloring(you pick the color for fun), water, soap. It came out kinda thick like the one Moose got dumped in "Rules". Slime came right off my clothes after being washed in machine...no stains. Got a little flour stuck on my hair though.

you need vanilla pudding and green food coloring to make it.

It's not the "official" YCDTOTV recipe, but if you take several boxes of cake mix, hot water, and food coloring, you get a pretty good slime that's as thick or as thin as you want it to be... AND it washes out easily (unlike flour).

If you don't use it immediately, beware! It ferments, and if you keep it in a closed container, the gases will build up and turn it into a slime-bomb.

For those who were at Slimecon 2004, I still have my bottle of the Last Green Slime Officially Dropped in the CJOH Studio. I keep it buried deep in my freezer, because the stuff has definitely fermented, and the plastic water bottle that contains it is now bulging rather dangerously.

It's the very last photo in the Slimecon album at http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larynxa/my_photos.

I took the photo just this morning.

Did you know that you can still get "green slime" hair-care products? However, the resemblance is purely accidental, because these ones are made for use by professional stylists.

The brand name is Herbalan, and the shampoo, conditioner and intensive conditioning pack all contain herbs (including mint, which makes your head feel all cool and tingly). I've been using them for quite a while now. They work wonderfully, and the fun part is, they look exactly like green slime (especially the Herbalan Pack). The downside is that you have to get them from a beauty-industry supplier, so they're pricey. But a little goes a long way, so they're not as expensive as they may seem.

Cool, eh?

That is pretty cool.....that bottle of green slime has really started to disfigure that water bottle! Lets just hope your freezer stays nice and cold!!

I had some slime from SlimeCon become encrusted on the shoes that I was wearing that day....it was rather odd, considering someone pointed out to me 3 weeks after the convention at work....they said "What is that green stuff on the side of your shoe?!"

I told them to never mind and went out back and chiseled it off. Ahhh, the memories!

Fermented green slime is like greasepaint. Once you've smelled it, you never forget that aroma!

I couldn't find the Green Slime recipes on the site, but here they are from YCDTOTV.com, in 2003.

INGREDIENTS: vanilla pudding mix, Milk, clear syrup, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Follow the pudding instructions, but lightly over saturate it with milk. Add syrup and coloring.

INGREDIENTS: cottage cheese, Milk, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Mix these babies up, and dump it all over yourself!

INGREDIENTS: water, green jello powder, baby shampoo

DIRECTIONS: Mixed them up.

INGREDIENTS: chilled green jello, green jello mix, water

DIRECTIONS: With chilled jello already made, follow the regular jello instructions, and set it out at room temperature until slightly thick. Mix jellos and add (optional) water.

INGREDIENTS: oats, water, green coloring, baby shampoo

(This recipe was given by Muppet Magazine after being begged to find out how the slime was made that was dumped on Miss Piggy in the You Can't Do That On Television issue featuring the newly formed host, Alasdair Gillis.)

DIRECTIONS: Mix all ingredients, but add shampoo last and carefully to avoid suds.

INGREDIENTS: cooked oats, cold milk (or water), flour, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Cook a bunch of oats and add COLD milk and/or water. Add flour, but do not make mixture too thick. Add green food coloring.

INGREDIENTS: cream of wheat, cold water, shampoo, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Mix `em up!

INGREDIENTS: cream of wheat, cold water, shampoo, green coloring, liquid latex

DIRECTIONS: Mix 'em up! (just don't put too much latex)

SLIME #9 (from Double Dare's "Slime Canal")
INGREDIENTS: clear syrup, water, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Mix water and syrup. Add coloring and dive in!

SLIME #10 (from Nickelodeon Studios)
INGREDIENTS: apple sauce, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Mix 'em up!

SLIME #11 (from Jim Schreyer)
INGREDIENTS: oatmeal (dry), water, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Put oatmeal powder in bowl. Add water to oatmeal (make sure not it's not too over saturated). Mix them together until a fine mixture is made. Add Green Food Coloring and mix.

SLIME #12 (from foottones@aol.com)
INGREDIENTS: vanilla ice-cream, green coloring

DIRECTIONS: Put ice cream in electric blender run blender until ice cream is nice and gloppy add coloring until a nice icky shade is reached dump it all over.

SLIME #13 (from Chase Erwin)
INGREDIENTS: Two cups all-purpose flour, two cups water, 1/2 package of jello powder, quart-size Ziploc bag or a bucket

DIRECTIONS: Mix one cup of flour to one cup of water and shake in bag or stir in bucket. Add jello powder and remaining flour/water and shake/stir. This makes a rather thick slime, so you can add water to make it to your consistency.

SLIME #14 (from Josh Yawn)
INGREDIENTS: Two parts Quaker Oats oatmeal, one part vanilla pudding, one part apple sauce, four parts water, one-half part baby shampoo

DIRECTIONS: Mix the oatmeal and water together first, then add the vanilla pudding, then the apple sauce. Add more water if necessary and mix together. Add desired amount of green food coloring. Finally, gently mix the baby shampoo to avoid suds. Then... it's SLIME TIME!

I've been slimed several times...Once "officially" at SC02, and a bunch of times "unofficially" (but using virtually the same recipe) between the ages of 12 and 14, at the peak of my obsession with this show. I used to have a picture of me being slimed in my backyard on my website, but I took it down. I will say, however, being "officially" slimed was quite an experience! And it took forever to get out of my hair, it really made me feel for the cast members who had to endure this several times over the course of one episode.
