... I think I speak for most of the board when I say that most people don't want to talk about:

(a) slime fetishes with girls
(b) diaper or slime/water fetishes with guys
(c) anything that would be be considered a weird fetish regarding kids and their clothing or slime/water dumped on them
(d) all of the above

I could be wrong, though. This is the wacky Internet.

Am I? Talk amongst yourselves.

It never ceases to amaze me what constitutes a fetish. There's even a fetish around cuddly toys, and people who dress up as them!

Tom Lehrer was right. When correctly viewed, everything is lewd.

Nice to see you on the board Patte. Hope things are going well, and the cab ride that we shared at SlimeCon is forever engrained in my soul!! LOL!

It seems to me, it's always tricky, looking at a show like this. We watched it as children; now we're watching it as adults. We're going to see things in ways now that we didn't then. That makes things such as slime scenes with girls tricky - as children, we would not have seen them as such. Now, as adults, it may be different ...

I would note, hower, that most of us are probably watching this show now because we likes it as children, not because of any other reasons. If any are ... go away, that's not what this board is for. Otherwise, remember, intent matters. Random House Webster's Unabridged Dictionary defines fetish as "any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation." In other words, if you're not interested in that way, I wouldn't worry about it.

HA HA HA HA....I didnt know that the 5th amendment right carried into Canada! Of course, you might have heard the saying "What happens on the cab ride............stays there".

The problem is, to many people have their minds in the gutter. They seem to TRY to find lewd things in anything. Funny how people are so offended when they see porn, nudity, etc, yet do anything in their power to find it. :?

Besides, didn't we just go over this?

The fetish you speak of is called WAM (Wet and Messy). There are many web pages on the issue and many people think it is a turn on. This seems to be a big thing in the homosexual community.

Maybe watching the show as kids has caused some people to develop those fetishes as they matured..... but it is just a theory.

I'm straight, and I like it.

but that's neither here nor there.

The point is, it shouldn't be discussed, period. This is a forum to talk about the fun of this show, where the stars have gone on in their lives, and what they'll do next, whether there will be DVDs of the show, etc.

That's all.

This thread was started by the site's Admin, so take it up with him.

I'm aware of that, but I'm saying that others in the forum shouldn't discuss it. Administrators have carte blanche...they can talk about whatever.

I agree, and I'm as liberal as they come when it comes to people's rights to decide what works best for them (ask one of my best friends in the world - Chris Gough). If it makes them happy, great. I have no opinion WHATSOEVER, but that rule doesn't quite work for private message boards (and soccer moms). When we get a number of complaints, as administrators, we have to act and make decisions that we feel are in the best interest of the overall integrity of the message board. We get tons of visitors here each month, and how reluctant do you think people would be to post here if every other post was about who looked hottest in slime or something else along those lines and less about what made the show the hit it was? Roger Price never mentioned to me or Chris that he slimed only the hottest cast members...that's not what the show was about.

When we make rules about what is considered inappropriate, everyone is welcome to do one of two things - 1) abide by these rules or 2) go somewhere else and talk about the things that make you happy but don't quite work for this message board. When you create a user name and password to become a member of this private message board, you are agreeing to follow the rules.

It's pretty cut and dry, and the debate should end there.
