  • Who would you invite back for a reunion

After watching Project 131, I got to thinking who would I invite back if I were to set one of these up today.

    Boys:
Kevin Kubusheskie - Most recognized early boy
Brodie Osome - Did good job in project 131
    Zilch - Taking over Barths
Alasdaire - Most recognized boy, period.
Dougie - with Vanessa of course
Adam Reid - He would be writing it too
Token boy from the new episodes: Chris Bickford - He was the host

    Girls:
    Moose - Obviously
    Lisa Ruddy - Classic Girl
Marjorie Silcoff - Great in project 131
Vanessa - with Dougie of course
Liz Richardson - She was hot, so why not
Cyndi Kennedy - See Liz Richardson
Token girl from the new episodes: Jill Stanley - She apparently has quite a following.

Throw in some cameos and a musical number from Alanis, and it would be a great 1 hour special. Ok, make it 2 hours.

What stars would you invite instead?

I agree with lots of your choices, mainly the idea of Zilch taking over Barth's burgers and add also:
    boys
    -Jonathan Gebert
    -Kevin Summers
    -Justin Cammy
    -Eugene Contreras
    -Mathew Godfrey

    girls
    -Angie Coddett
    -Stephanie Chow
    -Pauline Kerr
    -Klea Scott
    -Andrea Byrne

Good additions. I'd throw in Marc Baillon and Rodney Helal from 1979-81, and Carlos Braithwaite and Jennifer Brackenbury from 1989-90, also.

And let's not forget Martin Kerr, an extremely underrated (and under-utilized) cast member from the mid-1980s glory days. He was always one of my unsung heroes from the show. Plus, he and Pauline never got to be in an episode together and it would be kind of neat to see that.
"Now me, I play for fortune
      And those velvet curtain calls
I've got a black limousine and two gentlemen
      Escorting me to the halls
And I'll play if you have the money
Or if you're a friend to me
      But the one-man band
      By the quick-lunch stand
      He was playing real good
      For free..."

Awesome idea. Isn't the 30th anniversary of the Nickelodeon premeir coming up soon? Another convention and/or reunion special would be awesome.

That would be a wonderful accompaniment to a DVD box set or two, wouldn't you say? (There being no better opportunity than a milestone of this sort to atone for past neglect.) A reunion special would be just the thing to whet people's appetites.

Who would you want to see? Naaa, don't bother...
We think you'll enjoy what's coming your way in 2013.

What if I told you a secret....
Most of the original cast and then some...are coming BACK to TV!
But not as a kids show... As a family sitcom like no other.

              STUDIO D (Working Title)
Created by BillyD Kennedy and Abby Hagyard
              Executive Producer - Curtis Crawford
              Director - David Winning
Starring Cast: Matthew Godfrey, Stephanie Bauder and Abby Hagyard as "Valerie"
Recurring/supporting cast: original cast members are returning...
Guest stars: abundance of cameos appearances.
With the many returning original production members that made us the original pioneers of success is back to make a new original sitcom series like no other.

              Any Questions?

So many. First and foremost, is this a real sitcom with the real actors, or is it a fantasy project? I've done the latter, and it can be fun and rewarding, but it's not clear which this is based just on your posts.

Secondly, how far into production is it?

Thirdly, did you and Abby Hagyard come up with the idea together? Were you or she in contact with other cast members prior to the idea? How did you get them to sign on?

Finally, when can I see it?

The Thread was a fantasy thing, OUR POST is FACT.

                  Real Cast
Originally my idea, with the aid of Abby who is registered as the co-creator. Yes original cast have been asked back. No it's not a remake of the show. I know many of the cast because I'm a child of CJOH.

Just got a broadcaster, Production Company and Director... We are discussing locations ATM.
If all goes well, then fall 2013.

Many original cast are returning, some very thrilled, a couple not-so much as they think we are redoing the original show. I would never take that away, YCDT is a timeline event, could never respectfully take that away from them. Time to showcase them in an all new fictional story but still being the who they are.

ALL are welcomed back as well as a few others who are famous.

First week of December it will be made public in media, (Radio, Paper, Local NEWS and websites) stay tuned...

This is the best news I've heard in a long time. It sounds like Matthew and Amyas Godfrey are already confirmed. Let's hope some of my other favorites like Ted Wilson, Vanessa Lindores, Amy and Jill Stanley, Doug Ptolemy, Kevin Schenk, Jennifer Brackenberry, and Adam Reid sign on as well.

I'm looking forward to this so much. Please keep the community p[osted with photos, stories, and the like.

I'm also extreemely interested in your time spent at CJOH. Any info about that would be appriciated.

Just to vouch for the credibility of this project - I was asked if I was interested in writing for it. Had to decline, because all my efforts are currently going toward a new book project that I successfully pitched to my publisher, but I was asked. Looks like it's the real deal, and I hope they can pull it off.

Matthew and Stephanie Bauder are confirmed as they are the main characters. Amyas (has not confirmed, yet) Amyas is no longer an actor and works for the British Army. Though I do believe he will come back in a cameo role with a major storyline.

Others you have mentioned are also interested in coming back. (Can't say who is coming back yet) but it's BURNING A HOLE in my stomach cause I'm itching to tell all.

As for CJOH history I'm more than happy to share any memories provided they don't give off any storyline to the series. My life (though unimportant) is what ties everything and everyone together. Only one thing I can say...
Ottawa is not the boring government city everyone thinks of. We have many famous celebrities born and raised here. From best-selling authors to Hollywood actors to pop superstars, dozens of famous people have emerged from the capital city. Below are a few:

Sarah Chalke (Second Becky off Roseanne) Born in Ottawa
Tom Cruise went to middle and hig school also where he decided he wanted to ACT
Princess Margriet of the Netherlands was born in Ottawa in 1940 when her family including the Queen was living here during the occupation of the Netherlands during WWII.
Singers, Alanis Morissette (Ya, I think you guys already know about her)
Bruce ****burn, Paul Anka (Who my grandmother would call the neighbourhood crybaby), and Brian Adams went to school with my sister were all born and raised.
Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters) Worked with my step-father for the public school board
Tom Butler, Lorne Greene (Bonanza), Jessica Holmes, and Rich Little, all born in Ottawa
Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing on Friends) and I used to play tennis. His mom was Pierre Elliott Trudeau's press secretary.
Tom Green, worked on his show while I volunteered at Skyline Cable for a variety of shows, including his.
Sandra Oh (Dr. Cristina Yang on Grey's Anatomy) worked with me on another CJOH production "Denim Blues" and on "Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays"

The list goes on and they all have storylines in my life. Will they make it on the show? Depends if I have the acquired funding. Though most already said they would do anything to be part of this.

I'm not just telling a story, with the help of so many we are creating a world.

It blows my mind you're not allowed to write Bruce ****burn's name on this board. Automation run amok!

I can write Bruce Cοckburn all I like.

Seriously, it's not that hard to bypass automatic censors.

Editonestly, it did take a few tries though. My usual method of opening and closing italics with no text doesn't seem to work on this forum.
