1987 Worst of
I've been looking for a long time for a downloadable copy of the 1987 version of "The Worst of You Can't Do That on Television", but I've not had any luck. Anyone know where to find this?
While we're at it, I'm looking for any turkey television, old nick promos, especially nick at nite(they used to do half hour nothing-but-promos shows every monday morning, I'd love to see some of those), and Whatever Turns you on. The newly discovered YTV tapings would be good, but I'd settle for the ones from Barth's Burgery, or any for that matter.
I don't have much for upload to offer, unfortunately, and nothing you couldn't get more easily somewhere else. But, thank you anyways for helping me out here.
I have thousands of tapes to, at some point, list for trade, but that's another topic. I have a TV Tuner card, so I could theoretically upload anything I have on tape at some point, though it'll be a slow process.
Thanks!

Well, as I said, I've got thousands of tapes, and i could theoretically upload anything on them, eventually, but it would be a slow, painful process. My collection isn't really catalouged, but here's a breif sample.
I've got lots and lots of pro wrestling. Everything from local indy shows and WWF stuff from the 80's to just about everything from WWE TV in 2008.
I've got a bit of old nick stuff, but it's mostly available elsewhere. I've got dozens of episodes of Ren and Stimpy, at least 2 Are You afraid of the Dark, including the one with the inn with mirrors everywhere, run by an old man in a teenage boy's body, who uses the mirrors to steal the youth of his guests. I've got a bit of Clarissa, lots of Muppet Babies, a bit of Pete and Pete, one episode of Roundhouse...and probably some miscelanious stuff here and there. More recently, I've got lots of iCarly, Jimmy Neutron, and Fairly Oddparents taped. The only YCDTOTV I taped myself, though, is half of Enemies and Paranoia from the 1999 airing, and another episode I can't remember atm from the Locker Jokes on.
For Nick at Nite, I've got the entire Classic TV Countdowns from 1995(missing an episode or 5), 96, 97, and 98, as well as the year end special for 1999, and bits and peices of the countdowns from 92 and 94(I'm desperately looking to complete my Classic TV Countdown collections), as well as randomly taped episodes from 1992-2002. I kinda gave up on Nick at Nite after that.
I've got lots and lots of anime, Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, .hack//, Maze, etc.
I've got lots of 3 Stooges, a bit of Marx Brothers, a bit of Abbot and Costello, lots of stuff like that.
I've got virtually every episode of every Star Trek series except the animated one.
I've got ltos and lots of episodes of the Simpsons, 17 tapes devoted to nothing but, and dozens of episodes elsewhere, some taped as far back as 1992.
I've also got hundreds of random episodes of various TV shows. I learned how to use a VCR in about 1992, and I've been recording pretty much non-stop since, and I keep EVERYTHING.
As for uploadable stuff, I have lots of episodes of Doug, most of the Barth's Burgery episodes of YCDTOTV, an Alvin and the Chipmunks, a few Little Princes and Mysterious Cities of Gold's, 2 or 3 Salute your Shorts's, Dragonball GT, Ichigo Mashimaro, Azumanga Daioh, Pokémon, Blake's 7, and lots of random stuff.(all this stuff takes a LONG TIME to download with Dial-up)
I don't know if any of that stuff strikes your fancy, but I'd really love to see that 1987 Best Of. I always liked the 87 cast best, and the special is twice as long. The Turkey TV and WTYO would be awesome to see as well. I'd prefer downloadable episodes, but VHS tapes or even DVDs would be great too. All I can do is VHS or, if I cap, convert, and upload with my dial-up, a digital downloadable copy. I have no way to burn DVDs. I suppose i could do VCD.
BTW, WTYO, I left you a private message, but never got a reply.

I didnt know who that was online. Sorry it took me forever to get back to you. Do you have the complete episodes of Blake's 7? I do have a flash drive player if you copy them all on a flash drive I can give you all of WTYO and any YCDTOTV or related material possible. It may take me a few weeks though.

Yeah, I've got every episode of Blake's 7, wit the exception of Killer from the second series. That one got corrupt at some point, and I didn't have a backup. THe first few minutes plays, and the rest may still be there if someone more clever than i tried to fix the file.
I'm not really sure how to exchange this. Are you suggesting mailing you a flash memory card with all the episodes on it? It's more than 20GB, so that could get quite expensive.
Please help me clarify the exchange methods, and we'll get this finalised. I really wanna see that 1987 best of.

The Great Storm of 1987 occurred on the night of 15/16 October 1987, when an unusually strong weather system caused winds to hit much of southern England and northern France. It was the worst storm to hit England since the Great Storm of 1703(284 years earlier) and was responsible for the deaths of at least 22 people in England and France combined (18 in England, at least 4 in France).
According to the Beaufort scale of wind intensities, this storm had winds of hurricane force; however, the term hurricane refers to tropical cyclones originating in the North Atlantic or North Pacific. Hurricanes have a very different wind profile and distribution to storms, and significantly higher precipitation levels.
The storm was declared a rare event, expected to happen only once every several hundred years. However, the Burns' Day storm hit the United Kingdom in January 1990, less than three years later and with comparable intensity.
