    Default You Still Can't update

    Good news and bad news...

Good news - principle production is now complete
Bad news - a few more weeks of post-production (editing, sound mixing, remastering HTGOL, etc)

    Stay tuned.

Still, it's good to know the project is nearing completion.

And yes, I was part of the writing staff, but I do look forward to seeing the final product. It will be neat to see that writing come to life.

Lastly, I want to thank Ric not only for allowing me to be part of the project, but especially to thank him for all the hard work he put into this. Yes, it's taken some time to get to the final product, but were it not for Ric's dedication to get to that stage, it may never have happened.

    Thanks again, Ric!

Good to hear... I've been looking forward to knowing this project's status for a while now, and I'm psyched about seeing the finished product.

I'm sure it'll be great, Ric... Thanks for keeping at it, and for the opportunity to take part.

    One more thing,

are the YSC and HTGOL sections of this site going to be updated once you are finished?

    Peter,

Sorry I haven't updated those yet. HTGOL can be updated, I just haven't done it yet.

As for YSC, that will be updated as the project moves forward.

Default Crawling Back Out From Underneath My Rock...

After a lot of topsy-turviness, I have at last crawled back out from underneath my rock, defragged my computer...and realized that I still have a few more scenes to record as Jason. (Doh!) II promise I'll record those very last few scenes (I think there's only about 5 of them) and get them in to you, ASAP, so you can finish everything off.

Too much time working gowns for beauty queens, and on putting together my voice demos and studying British comedy and "Dangermouse" & "Count Duckula" cartoons, I guess. I'm now realizing why nobody ever put together a complete listing of who voiced which characters in those cartoons!
    _______________________

My months of topsy-turviness have included joining the talent pool of an internet ad agency, auditioning for Pirate Casting (the biggest voice casting agency in Toronto), appearing in several indie films, and doing the principal Voiceover on the pilot episode of a new Canadian travel show for MTV, called "Wild Eh". The producer wanted a very sexy French female voice, and I just about melted the microphone.

I'm off to the wilds of Kitchener later this week, to appear on the pilot of a series showcasing people with unusual talents, for Life Network. It's non-paying, but Life Network airs stuff over and over for a long time, so it'll be a lot of free publicity for my voice talents. I plan to unleash the heavy artillery: 30+ voices (and some animal noises) in 3 minutes.

And last Friday, I had my first taste of live television, when I was the female Co-Host (aka "the funny one") on a live webcast of a news/entertainment show, done out of Ryerson. I think it went quite well. It only took me 10 minutes to get the producer to stop crying and unlock the bathroom door. I get to do another episode of the show, with a different producer, this Friday. So if you have an internet hookup, and you revel in Schadenfreude, you can watch it on www.spiritlive.net from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m.

But the biggest topsy-turviness is that, after 5 years on the waiting list, I finally got a beautiful apartment in a co-op. It's newer, bigger, better laid-out, and in a much better location than my current one. It's also $430 a month cheaper, and it even includes the cable television! It's just across the street from the Market, so I'll have easy access to the freshest produce and the best cuts of meat...including exotic ones like bison and ostrich (not that I'm all that keen to actually try them). I move in on January 1st, so it's really a fresh start!

No wonder I forgot to finish off Jason!
