Default Who gets to be dumped today??

I have a question. For each episode, do some kids get to be slimed by choice of the director or the kids "volunteer" to be slimed?? Cuz I know some regs never got dumped at all like Klea, Elizabeth Richardson, Chantal, Andrea Byrne. Did they say that they dont want to be slimed at all period??

Well, ya gotta weigh the pros and cons...

Pros: Extra Money ($50 per sliming, watering, pieing, etc)

Cons: Messy, Gross, possibly humiliating (depending on how secure you are about yourself)

According to cast members, the biggest "Con" was that washing the slime out of their hair was difficult, especially the first couple of years before baby shampoo was added. And, of course, slimings required a shower and a change of clothes afterwards, which (as you can probably imagine) was annoying.

Yeah the slimings were certainly a long, involved process when they did the slimings

To my knowledge, the only person who got away with not wanting to be slimed was Christine - and that was after she'd been on the show a long time, and even then she didn't always get out of it.

The rest of the time, the person who got slimed was the choice of the writer, although Roger could and sometimes did change it. Most kids got slimed in their first episode, but not all of them. And yes, some kids managed to avoid getting slimed alltogether - but that was just luck more than anything else.

I remember when we did the "Wildlife" episode, the slime sketch that was in the script bombed in read-through and we had to come up with something else on the fly. For various logistical reasons, the only person we could slime was Vanessa, and she got very upset because she was afraid her Link Set outfit for that episode would be ruined. She didn't relax about it until Roger promised to buy her a new one if it was. Fortunately, it wasn't.

Thanks everyone but that is not the answer I was looking for with all due respect. I mean for instance, if I was cast and I am in this episode, do they ask me if I want to be dumped today or is it just like I either will or won't get slimed today cuz the writer or director choose which kid to be dumped??

Unless your name was Christine McGlade, you weren't asked. You found out when you went to read-through and saw it in the script.
