Default When did you start watching YCDTOTV?

Ok, so we haven't had this discussion in a long time. About what year did you first watch the show?

I'm one of the youngest fans, as I was 9 years old when Nick stopped showing them in '94. YCDTOTV goes beyond my memory, but I probably first noticed it in 1987 when I was 3, if not '88 when I was 4. It drives me crazy with the fact I'll never know for sure how I got into this brain-rotting show.

I started watching sporadically when I was 8 or so when the 1984 season was in its primetime . I didn't regularly start watching unitl 1986 when the 86-87 season was in its prime, those were my favorite seasons. I even remember the slime in commercials in 1987 which thankfully someone had uploaded.

Yep. I can't believe it's going on 8 years since then! When I first came here in 2000, it was only 6 years since YCDTOTV went off the air!

The first ep i remember watching was "Media" so it would probably be around 83-84. I didnt get cable until 1993 though, but every time i was at a house that had cable i made sure to watch YCDTOTV.

I guess I'm one of the seniors - I started watching in April, 1983 (age 9 1/2) - the show was only one 3 days a week and there were only 26 episodes in rotation. I think the first episode I ever saw was Addictions, but only part of it. I think the first full episode I saw was either Television or Heroes.

I was watching this show when I was 3 years old during the 1984 season. I grew up watching the shows, and remembering Moose, Lisa, Alasdair and Kevin as the main stars. When I was about 6 or 7, I remember talking about the show to friends of mine, several of whom told me it was their favorite show as well. I watched through the late 80's, and even though I didn't realize the show had been 'cancelled' I do remember watching reruns at the time.

The new cast came on a few years later, and it just didn't have the same charm as the original episodes, at least, that is what I thought at the time. I stopped watching altogether, and around mid 90's when I had my own VCR and decided I wanted to start taping the episodes, I found, to my horror, that the show was NOWHERE to be found. Hence, a few years later, when I first got online, I found this place and was ecstatic to see pictures from my beloved tv show. The rest is history.

I beleive I first saw the show when I was 11 years old and visiting a friend's house. I thought it was a neat show and, although my parents did not have cable, I would sometimes watch at my friend's house.

I also did house-sitting for a neighbor across the street when said neighbor went on vacation, and once in a while I'd go to the house to watch the show there.

I think it was in October 1983. It was my first visit home from college after my parents got cable. The first episode I saw was "Cooking."

First memory wasn't a particular show, but where I watched it for the first time made it so memorable.

I was at my grandfather's house in the summer of 1982, just a few months after they were the first people in our family to get cable. One summer's day, I had a chance to see the episodes of Cosmetics and Sports. I recall racing in from a hallway that aligns the living room to the kitchen grabbing some buttery fresh popcorn (a perfect treat for kids of that era, which is so hard to find anymore). This way, I timed my re-entrance to the living room just to see the opposite skits, and laughing myself silly. It would be two full years before my parents finally became convinced to get cable for our house. The rest, they say, is history.
