Did anyone else see it?
Did anyone else see it?
I sure did. I was pleased enough to see the homage to "Law & Order" at the beginning, but when I saw that, I went bonkers.
Awesome reference, took me completely by surprise.
Missed it, What happened?
I have it on my DVR - as soon as I can extract the file I will upload a clip and post the URL for people to look at...
I loved it too - who knows - maybe more people will remember YCDTOTV and end up here. I would imagine that most of the people watching Family Guy now are at the age where they watched YCDTOTV when they grew up.
I also thought the Law & Order opening was cool, and there also was a reference to Barney there as well (Stewie is doing the robot, and says "Let's see the kid with the hearing aid from Barney do this" )
Also, in another episode of FG, Peter mentions "Is this where the pilgrims landed on Fraggle Rock?" - I guess Seth McFarlane (creator of FG) grew up watching a lot of TV in the 80s...

Greetings from Newmarket NH...
..."You can NOT leave the magic!"
Peter says the magic words, his head's covered in slime, then a re-drawn version of the YCDTOTV logo appears with the words "We'll be right back" and some YCDTOTV-ish music playing.
that was really aweome the way Seth Mcfarlane made that Segment. It was funny the way he added the slime part and the YCDTOTV Paraody in that episode.
IF I Can imagine Seth McFarlane playing the male roles and the annoucer on a remake:
You Can't Do That on Live Television.
Here are some screenshots from that clip:

I still can't believe they did that. It literally freaked me out, and I was watching with two other people. Thanks for the caps, whoever that was. That cartoon version of Ross was hilarious.
