  • who else is lookign forward tyo the nick rewind collection

The one i want is the first season of pete and pete. I love the extras. the 4 30 minute specals all the 1 minute shorts.

the other what I consider a nick dvd even though it is being made by A&E is the danger mouse season 1 and 2 DVD.

    More cool shows.....

I personally liked Salute Your Shorts and Hey Dude, ohh and Nick Arcade, Are You Afraid of the Dark?....those were some great shows....its sad to see kids programming go the way its going (less originality and interaction, more animation). Most importantly I would love to see YCDTOTV on DVD, however any Nick programming would be great to have!

Funny story: Last saturday night, my girlfriend and I had come home from a friends house and its around 12:30 in the morning. She hops in the shower to rinse off and I start flipping through the channels and it was the best night ever! On Nick GAS they were playing re-runs of GUTS, Double Dare 2000 and Family Double Dare. I stayed up until 4am watching some of those great shows. Marc Summers was one heck of a host! Does anyone remeber the show he hosted after Double Dare What Would You Do? Known for the pie chair?

    Thoughts?
Ohh Yeah.....This is the good stuff!

I'm looking forward to Clarissa Explains it All. I'm also looking forward to getting Danger Mouse as well (it's part of MY Rewind Collection lol).

I honestly wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and others made it into the Rewind Collection.

My enthusiasm about the collecion is sort of mixed, seeing as how we're more likely to receive the later, Nickelodeon-produced programming than the shows that got the network off the ground... I was never a big fan of Clarissa, Pete & Pete, Hey Dude, etc. However, if Nickelodeon is able to pull some strings and bring us stuff like Pinwheel, Today's Special, Count Duckula, and, of course, YCDTOTV, I'll be first in line to buy my copies.

I agree with the both of you. I also like assorted of shows that aired on Nickelodeon. I like to watch Pinwheel, Today's Special, Mr Wizard, Lassie, of course You Can't Do That On Television. I will also be the one of the first people to be in line when it comes to buying the DVD of these shows.
I love ycdtotv and Alasdair Gillis

I think if we all chip in a few bucks and buy at least one of the Nick Rewind DVDs, Nick will consider some more if they do well in sales. Even better if you buy both of them.

If you don't like the show that's ok. I hated Celebrity Mole: Hawaii but I bought it on DVD to see the regular Mole on DVD. And now look. The Mole season 1 is on DVD.

I'm getting both of the Nick Rewind sets. I didn't even care for Pete and Pete when it was on, but I'm getting it anyway. I want to encourage Nick to release more shows.

Not me. I don't have the money to be buying DVD sets that I have no interest in. I have so many other releases coming up that I really do want anyway

If ycdtotv is made into a dvd it would not have nickelodian on it it be like the dangermouse dvds even though the show was shown on nick it was produced in england thats why you dont see any reverence to nick ont he box of it i thinkt he same will be done by ycdtotv since it was not produced by nick. which would be a blessing meaning we would get to see the full skits and eerythign nick edited out of what it showed.

That's not necessarily true, as last I heard Nickelodeon still held YCDTOTV's U.S. distribution rights... Meaning it wouldn't be possible for another company to release the DVD here unless it were done on Nickelodeon's behalf. Or unless it were done it Canada, where Nickelodeon's distribution rights don't apply, in which case you'd have to import your copies.

Same with the way A&E is holding Danger Mouse's U.S. distribution rights.
