Did Nickelodeon televise the Grand Opening of Nick Studios when it opened in 1990? Were the stars of the any prominent Nickelodeon programs there for the opening?

Yeah, they televised it. I have about 3 and 1/2 hours of it on tape. Les Lye was there as Ross and Barth. You also see a lot of Melody and Brad there (from Hey Dude), as well as the kids from Don't Just Sit There. Marc Summers is hosting much of the opening from the set of Double Dare. The Perfect Gentlemen music group performed several times throughout the special.
