Characters outside their normal settings

What are some instances that you can remember of characters appearing outside their normal settings?

I know of:

-El Capitano showing up at the Prevert's house selling vacuum cleaners.
-Mrs. Prevert getting shot by El Capitano because her daughter "died of embarrassment".
-Mr. Shidtler showing up in Chris' closet to teach him about getting ready in the morning.
-I also remember Mrs. Prevert having to go on a run by the Coach because she didn't have her mother there to get her out of it.

It seems like the last two seasons had more of these instances than the earlier seasons.

There was Barth in the Sleep episode where he somehow invaded Vanessa's dream of being alone on the beach.

Was that in the Medicine episode? I remember Blip appearing on the link set in Colleges to help Alasdair carry his bag of quarters, as well as the librarian in Books & Reading but can't recall the doctor appearing.

It was a tricky thing to do logistically. Les would usually get made up in one costume for the morning taping and then change to another one for the afternoon. Having him do any others took a big chunk out of the available studio time, so it wasn't done very often. When we did the space shuttle sketches for "Outer Space," Les spent the entire afternoon doing the mission control voice while wearing his Barth outfit, because of the one sketch where Barth floats by the shuttle window.

Abby was easier because she had fewer characters, but she wasn't there every day and they would have had to pay her extra to come in just for one or two sketches. We did put Mom in detention for the "My mom's going to shoot me if I get a detention" sketch, and since we had her there, we ad-libbed another one on the spot, where Mom is chained up in detention for making Lisa late to school.

-The doctor did appear to help Christine and Lisa read his prescription after Christine was slimed.
-This one is a bit loose, but Ross was in a locker during one of the locker jokes segments.
