Rock band played a cool song on YCDTOTV

Hi! Somewhere between 1987 and 1990 (I guess) there was an episode which included a rock band of teenagers (again, I'm guessing) that played a really cool song. I believe it was somewhere near the episode. I saw it and waited until late night for the repetition and I caught a little of it on my father's tape recorder. I would like to hear the song again... Can someone help me with the name of the band or song? Or maybe the episode number? I know it's a though call, but you never now... THX!

Are you sure you're thinking of YCDTOTV and not Fifteen, Nickelodeon's "continuing high school saga"? There was a band called "Teenagers in Love."

Hi, thx for posting. It had to be YCDTOTV; I do not recall knowing about the Fifteen show and now that I made a search for it, I see that Fifteen started 1990/1991, and I'm almost sure the episode that I refer to aired in 87-88. But yet, could it be a rerun? Also, as I remember it, the band appeared as special guests and they weren't regulars there. It's just a memory I've kept all this time and would like to have a chance at viewing it and listening to that song once more, if I find this material on the web. Thx again.

Are you possibly thinking of "Don't Just Sit There"? It was a Nickelodeon show that started airing in 1988. They had musical guests as well as a house band of teenagers (the house band was called "Out of Order"). You Can't Do That On Television never had any bands playing during the years you're mentioning.

Paulinoo, are you Canadian by chance? Because I have heard that when YTV started airing YCDTOTV in 1988 or '89, they included episodes of the short-lived CTV network version from 1979 "Whatever Turns You On" in rotation (which never aired in the States). WTYO did have live musical guests, which were all hot Canadian recording acts of the day. But there were never any live bands on YCDTOTV from 1982 at the VERY latest onward... unless you want to count the Green Slimes in 1986's Pop Music episode.

ChrisInMI, Nona5000: Hi! I'm Mexican, and watched YCDTOTV through Nickelodeon. Enjoyed it a lot, and I possibly got confused with that show Nona5000 mentioned. I don't remember watching the show or even its name, but the house band's name Out of order kinda rings a bell, so maybe that's the little band whose song has stuck on me for a long time now!
