The prices they're charging for those Mr. Wizard's World DVDs and the shipping cost combined is ridiculous. If you get all 3 DVDs they're offering on that website, the total comes up to about $65, for 12 episodes. I was going to order them until I found out what the total was. Sheesh.

Try http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/ next time.. You may have saved $10-15 that way, depending on how much Nickelodeon charges for shipping.

Also a great DVD site is deepdiscountdvd.com. They are fairly cheaper than some retailers, and they also have free shipping! I preordered mine from there, even though it looks like I have failed to DVD Price Search once again.

The free shipping does take a while, but I've gotten some really good deals from deepdiscountdvd as well.. and they're typically the cheapest to begin with, even if it always helps to compare.

It depends on where you live, but I live pretty near where they ship form, so if I am lucky, I can somtimes get things I predordered 2-3 days in advance to the release date. Very nice; I like to give reviews.
Speaking of reviews, at Nickdisk there is a bad review on the Pete and Pete set. Looks like the quality may turn out bad.

                        I got the Clarissa DVD!

It is so great. The episodes look great. The whole set is just...great! The first thing I had to watch was the Nick Time Capsule. That brought back a lot of memories. I so hope if YCDTOTV and other older Nick shows get released we'll see some older ones from the 80's (and maybe even some Silver ball logo ones).

The menu for the Time Capsule gives titles to each one:
                        Lockers
                        Uneven Bars
                        Funky Dance
                        Pinchface
                        Disco Dogs
                        Barnyard
                        Bones
                        Opera
                        Wacky Paper Chase

For some strange reason, though, the last one doesn't play when you chose the "Play All" option. But you can still play it by selecting the title from the Nick Time Capsule menu.

As far as DVD quality, this is ultamatly limited by the quality of the masters. If these have degraded, it'll show on the final DVDs. They can be cleaned up to some extent, but I'm sure this is a time-consuming, expensive project.

The Nickelodeon Rewind Collection is a DVD series that was just launched yesterday. The first two titles that were released were "Clarissa Explains It All - Season 1" and "The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 1." Depending on how well these sell, future releases of these shows (and other shows) will follow. And with the exception of YCDTOTV, I think the majority of the titles with release potential will be mainly Nick-produced shows and are going to be either live-action sitcoms or variety shows (Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, All That, Welcome Freshmen, etc)

"Danger Mouse - Seasons 1 & 2" is going to be released on May 31st, but it's not a part of the Rewind Collection. The Rewind Collection titles are being released through Paramount, whereas "Danger Mouse" is being released through A&E.
